Description:  By middle school linked writing patterns are encouraged and are engaged in by the  students. Over a span of few years their handwriting starts to set and becomes a natural process occupying very little conscious effort. However by this age, huge amounts of writing of course material and multiple exams add to stress for teenagers. This increased curriculum load is also coupled with personality development changes at this age which again starts affecting the hand writing  process. This course helps students  to relearn more efficient techniques which require small changes but give great results in improving speed and legibility of writing. This course can also help to identify and resolve disturbing emotional issues faced by teenagers in some measure through analysing andcorrecting the handwriting process.

Curriculum:  One can help identify the unnecessary elements in one’s handwriting technique and remove them for a neater and more efficient handwriting, for example elimination of loops. Short cuts will be taught for speed writing for competitive exams. Analysis techniques in general will be shared to identify personality type and remedial options will be suggested for the long term.

When a person writes his/her hand does the writing but the brain does the dictating. The hand reproduces the thoughts of brain as words. Personality traits are identifiable by the way individual alphabets are written. If you observe closely ,you will be able to spot differences in your handwriting by comparing your own handwriting samples in different moods. In today's digital world, we have started to ignore the handwriting process. This has led to various problems such as underdeveloped motor skills, lack of creativity ,imagination, poor concentration ,poor memory and the inability to express thoughts and feelings leading to low self esteem. Handwriting activates and develops the brain. It helps in boosting cognitive skills. It promotes clarity of thoughts and self confidence that technology can’t provide.

The optimal pencil grasp is known as the "tripod grasp". This is when the pencil is supported by the thumb, index and middle finger. The ring and little finger are bent and rest comfortably on the table. You shouldn't worry about a child's pencil grasp unless it is affecting their writing or the child is experiencing pain. Ideally it would be nice to teach every child how to hold their pencil correctly from the start, however, some children develop poor habits and you may need to try adaptive grip to help position their fingers.
